So unnecessary internet car shopping is at its peak. 135is cars are way too much coin , 335is caRs  are all over the map, but m235i cars are plentiful and seem like decent buys on paper. Heard mixed things about the actual driving experience though.

If you settle on the 2 series, look at the 228i Msport. Terrific platform and the lighter, very tun able engine is better matched to the car. Owned one for three years so I am biased , however automotive journalists seem to echo my sentiments as well.

On Cargurus $25-30k for cars with a manual but there aren’t very many . M235i prices start more around $22.

how much better is the s vs normal i though? n othing a tune and aftermarket suspension bits can’t match right? I’ve looked at the S a few times because latest model available (besides z4) with n54 motor, but the price difference

Suspension, slight tune, wheels and exhaust. And really, a person is probably better of getting a 135i and a LSD.
